Evaluation of Patient’s Perception and Acceptance of Tele(oral)Medicine for Care during the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Cross-Sectional Pilot Survey

The aim of this cross-sectional pilot survey was to assess patients’ perception and acceptance a tele(oral)medicine program during the COVID-19 pandemic. We conducted telephone on 84 patients MoMax ambulatory at Department Oral Sciences Maxillofacial Surgery “Sapienza” University Rome, Polyclinic Umberto I. Demographic characteristics were recorded, 24 question-survey completed. A Chi-square test an ANOVA performed with significance level 5% determine association between two target questions (Q22 Q23) specific variables such as computer skills, conditions influencing experience conventional visit, difficulty in taking intraoral photos. Sixty-two (73.8%) declared interest use program. Furthermore, 41 (48.8%) participants preferred type visit odontostomatological visit.
